A self-paced course on climate-resilient public investment
Design and production of a six-module online course for project planners, built to work on slow connections.

The challenge
Planners in regional governments needed to include climate risk in their investment projects, but face-to-face training could reach only a few dozen people a year, and many worked far from the capital with unreliable internet.
Our approach
We worked with the agency's specialists to turn their guidelines into six short modules built around real project files. Each lesson loads in under a minute on a mobile connection and can be downloaded for offline study.
Practical exercises ask learners to review a project from their own region, and a tutor answers questions in a weekly forum.
Results
More than 1,300 planners enrolled in the first year and 71% completed the course, well above the agency's previous online offerings. The course is now part of the agency's annual training plan.
